Time Signatures

The time signature appears at the beginning and consists of two numbers:

● Top number: How many beats per measure ● Bottom number: Which note value gets one beat

Example 4/4: 4 beats per measure, quarter note = one beat Example 3/4: 3 beats per measure (waltz!)
